Refund and Cancellation Policy – B2B Training & Workshops

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all training workshops (“Workshops”) delivered by Summers Consulting Services Ltd DBA James Summers (“we”, “us”, “our”) to business customers (“you”, “your”).

1. Cooling-Off Period (Cancellation within 14 Days of Order Confirmation)

You may cancel your booking within 14 calendar days of receiving your order confirmation, provided that the cancellation occurs no later than 21 calendar days before the start date of the Workshop.

If you cancel within this period, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method within 7 days of receiving your cancellation request.

2. Cancellations Outside the Cooling-Off Period

Cancellations received after the 14-day cooling-off period or within 21 days of the Workshop start date are non-refundable. This is due to the commitment of venue costs, trainer availability, and materials prepared specifically for your attendance.

If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your place to a colleague from the same organisation at no additional charge. Please inform us in writing at least 48 hours before the Workshop if you wish to do this.

3. Money-Back Guarantee (Only Where Specifically Promoted)

Where a Workshop explicitly includes a Money-Back Guarantee, this entitles you to request a full refund if you are not satisfied after completing Day 1 of the Workshop.

  • You must notify us in person or via email before the start of Day 2 of the Workshop.
  • Attendance at Day 1 is required to qualify for this guarantee.
  • Refunds will be processed within 7 days of confirmation and issued to the original payment method.

This guarantee applies only when clearly advertised as part of the Workshop promotion and is not valid for bookings where the guarantee is not mentioned.

4. Workshop Cancellation or Rescheduling by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a Workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to illness, insufficient enrolment, or venue issues.

  • In the event of cancellation by us, you will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to a future date.
  • In the event of rescheduling, you will have the option to accept the new date or receive a full refund.

We are not liable for any travel, accommodation, or other costs incurred by you in relation to any cancelled or rescheduled Workshop.

5. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under this policy if such failure or delay results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemic, strikes, or government restrictions.

6. Limitation of Liability

Except in cases of fraud or willful misconduct, our total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with a Workshop shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Workshop.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or business-related losses, including loss of profit, goodwill, data, or business interruption.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
